Back to School Reminders!
We’re so proud of our J.E. Turner Elementary cheerleaders for an amazing 3-day Cheer Camp! 💚🤍 All of the girls worked hard and had positive attitudes making this week so much fun.
A very special thank you to the Mary G. Montgomery High School cheerleaders for volunteering their time to teach our girls their cheers and dance. Their leadership, patience, and encouragement meant so much to our girls!

Yesterday we celebrated four incredible ladies whose dedication, kindness, and hard work have left a lasting impact on J.E. Turner Elementary. Mrs. Debbie Spencer, Mrs. Tonya Wooley, Mrs. Ashley Langley, and Mrs. Phyllis Touchstone, thank you for the countless lives you have touched, the love you have poured into our students, and the many years you have devoted to our school! Students who attended J.E. Turner for the 2025-26 school year may do the following:
If you live in the J.E. Turner district you can upload your proofs of residency online yourself. If you are out of district or a 2nd party resident you may register online, but you MUST bring in your proofs of residency to the school! You can bring proofs in tomorrow, May 20th from 12:00-2:00, Thursday, May 21st 12:00-2:00 or even Friday, May 22nd from 9:00-12:00.
New students to J.E. Turner must call the school office for an appointment time 251-221-1285. Thank You!

Another THANK YOU to our amazing PTO for the sweet Candy Land themed treats today! 🍭🍬 Our teachers and staff had so much fun making candy bags and enjoying all the fun surprises. Your thoughtfulness and support mean so much to us!
We also want to give a special thank you to Mrs. Donna Brooks for creating such fun shirts for our staff to wear. They were absolutely adorable and made the day even more special! 💕

‼️‼️Attention 4th Grade Parents ‼️
Due to the forecasted weather, and out of an abundance of caution, tomorrow’s field trip to OWA has been canceled. ⛈️🌩️⚡️
OWA tickets will be sent home with students once they are provided to us. The tickets may be used on any day the park is open to the public through December 31st.
We also plan to have a Game Day in the classroom tomorrow. Students are welcome to bring a school-appropriate board game or card game if they would like. We apologize for any inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility.

*Returning students who are in the J.E. Turner zone/district may register online and attach two proofs
*Proofs must be current (May 1st-Aug. 15th)
*If you registered and forgot to add/attach two proofs of residency, please email proofs to dspencer@mcpss.com or msturner@mcpss.com (only if in J.E. Turner zone/district).
*New students, transfer students, or students with a 2nd-party residence /affidavit may register online, but must bring updated proofs to the school so these can be checked.
* 2nd party residence and/or affidavits must be new and updated every year.
*Proofs may be brought to J.E. Turner on May 20th, 21st, or 22nd (1:00-3:00 p.m. ONLY).
*Students will not be added to a roll until registration is complete with proof of residency.
